Remarkable message from Bahçeli: 'The post-holiday period...'

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli answered questions from members of the press after visiting the grave of Alparslan Türkeş on the morning of the holiday. Bahçeli stated that the excitement of the holiday this year was experienced in a somber atmosphere. He expressed that the turmoil in neighboring countries and the increasing environment of conflict at the international level have overshadowed the nation's holiday joy.

“We are now observing the holiday. We are welcoming the holiday in a sad and sorrowful manner. We are entering a new holiday period amidst developments around our country and, beyond multi-faceted political conflicts, an environment where conflicts between countries are spreading,” said Bahçeli, drawing attention to the impact of regional developments on Turkey in particular.

CALL FOR JOINT ACTION TO POLITICAL PARTIES

Addressing both political parties and society in his statement, Bahçeli pointed out that Turkey will take critical steps in the coming period. “The upcoming post-holiday period will be one in which important services and steps will be taken in the construction of a new and strong Turkey,” Bahçeli said, noting that it is necessary for political parties to work together and efficiently for the benefit of society.

Continuing his words by saying, “The most important issue here is that I hope all our existing political parties, and the parties represented in Parliament, will be in a consensus and unity of voice to solve all of Turkey's problems through efficient and effective work,” Bahçeli emphasized reconciliation and dialogue.

In his speech, Bahçeli also specifically conveyed his best wishes to the Turkish nation, the Islamic world, and humanity on the occasion of the holiday. “First of all, I pray to Almighty God that our holiday will be a means of goodness for the Turkish nation, the Islamic world, and all of humanity,” he said.
