Long-standing internal strife within the MHP Kocaeli Provincial Organization has erupted in the Çayırova District Administration. Seven individuals have decided to step down from their positions in the administration of the new District President, Bülent Işık, who was brought to office upon the recommendation of Provincial President Tuncay Batı.
The names who resigned include Haktan Karakoçan, Hilal Gül, Hüseyin Yılmaz, Burhan Bayram, Emre Asil, Ahmet Gargın, and Latif Demirel. It was stated that these individuals were on the management list prepared by the provincial presidency and sent to the headquarters.
THE REASON FOR INTRA-PARTY TENSIONS
According to information from within the party, the resignations are rooted in "the appointment process being conducted behind closed doors and the failure to take the opinions of the organization into account."
HEADQUARTERS' REACTION A MATTER OF CURIOSITY
Following the resignations, all eyes have turned to the MHP Headquarters. However, no official statement has yet been made by the headquarters or the provincial presidency. In political circles, it is being commented that this crisis is a new sign of factionalism within the party.
