İzmir MP Seda Kâya Ösen announced her resignation from the DEVA Party in a statement on her X account.
In her statement, Ösen said, "I am ending my tenure, which I began in 2020 as the Founding İzmir Provincial Chair and continued as the İzmir MP, by resigning from the DEVA Party, to which I have contributed at every level."
Ösen stated that she made the decision due to disagreements, writing, "I would like to thank all the party founders, especially Mr. Ali Babacan, who convinced me to enter politics. My biggest thanks go to all my fellow travelers, especially the İzmir organization, with whom we distributed brochures, walked street by street, worked together, and who added color and ideas to our political life. We walked this path together, worked hard together, and succeeded together."
Ösen concluded her words as follows:
"I respectfully announce to the public that I will continue my journey with the goal of a Turkey where justice is as clear as water and prosperity is distributed equally."
2020 yılında Kurucu İzmir İl Başkanı olarak başladığım, ardından İzmir Milletvekili olarak sürdürdüğüm görevimi; her kademesinde emek verdiğim DEVA Partisi’nden istifa ederek sonlandırıyorum.
