Response to claims that Show TV and Habertürk are being sold

Can Medya Group Chairman of the Board Kenan Tekdağ has issued a statement regarding claims that Habertürk and Show TV are being sold. Tekdağ stated that the claims do not reflect the truth.

In his statement, Tekdağ expressed the following:

"It has come to our attention that since yesterday, a completely fake and baseless so-called news report has been circulating on some social media accounts claiming that 'Show TV and Habertürk will be sold to a person acting on behalf of İmamoğlu.'

There is no truth or basis to the claim in question. As previously announced to the public, Show TV and Habertürk have been transferred to their new owner, Can Yayın Holding, and there is no other ownership or transfer attempt in question.

We kindly ask that this baseless report, which is being circulated with malicious intent to misinform the public, not be given any credence."
