Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel addressed the judicial crisis during his speech at his party's Hatay Dörtyol District Headquarters.

HE ADDRESSED ERDOĞAN: HE SHOULD COME TO HIS SENSES

Stating that they would not show the slightest flexibility against any decision that would weaken the Constitutional Court, Özel addressed AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan with the words, "He should come to his senses, we are here. The Republican People's Party is here."

Özgür Özel said the following:

"There is no way we will give the green light to any constitutional amendment that blocks individual applications to the Constitutional Court or weakens the Constitutional Court. No matter what they do, it is impossible for there to be the slightest flexibility on this issue within the Republican People's Party.

"CONSTITUTIONS LIMIT THE POWERS OF ONE-MAN RULE"

Constitutions limit the powers of one-man rule. But the one-man rule we have at the head of our country declares everyone who limits his powers an enemy. They are fighting with the Constitutional Court today, yet he himself appointed 10 of the 15 members currently on the Constitutional Court, and his party appointed the remaining 5.

There are no Constitutional Court members left from the Ahmet Necdet Sezer era; he has started to clash even with those he appointed himself. From now on, they cannot call this country a democracy. What he is trying to do right now is a coup attempt to abolish the constitution. If it is done with cannons and rifles, it is a military coup; if it is done this way, it is a civilian coup. Where has it ever been seen that a President at the head of the state creates a crisis? He is creating a crisis because he is the chairman of a party. He is trying to create opportunities for himself with new crises. We are resisting this in parliament, and we will resist in the streets and in the squares.

We absolutely do not give the green light to President Erdoğan thinking he will do this in a thornless rose garden. He should come to his senses, we are here. The Republican People's Party is here. We will break the chains he has locked onto this nation one by one. We will liberate the squares he has closed off.

ERDOĞAN HAD THE COURT OF CASSATION CREATE THE CRISIS HE COULD NOT CREATE HIMSELF

Erdoğan had the Court of Cassation create the crisis he could not create himself; he is using a subcontractor. The criminal chamber at the Court of Cassation, acting as a subcontractor under Erdoğan's instructions, has created a judicial crisis at the top of the state. The cause of the crisis and the leader of the coup crisis is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan."
