Response to the claim that 'Babacan will return to the AKP': A harsh statement from DEVA

The DEVA Party has issued a harsh response to the claim made in a column by Hürriyet Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan Coşkun, which suggested that Ali Babacan would shut down the DEVA Party and return to the AKP. Party Spokesperson Sadullah Kısacık stated in a post on social media that such claims are merely the expression of a desire.

Kısacık said, "We know that the government is experiencing a deadlock in the fields of economy and politics. Ali Babacan's past successes may be a source of morale for the government. However, Babacan's place is in the future, and what Turkey needs is a fresh start with the vision of the DEVA cadres."

Kısacık noted the following on his social media account:

“Hürriyet Newspaper columnist Ahmet Hakan has made a 'prophecy' in his column today that our Chairman, Mr. Ali Babacan, will shut down the DEVA Party and join the AK Party.

Such articles are actually the expression of a desire, a longing, that is being consciously served.

Because we know that the government is in a serious deadlock in economic management, politics, and state administration.

The government is experiencing a crisis of confidence and cannot write a new success story.

Because we know that the government is in great need of the Ali Babacan story.

In such an environment, even being in the same photograph as Ali Babacan, a name who introduced Turkey to trust, stability, and reforms years ago, and drawing various prophecies from this, seems to have become a source of morale for the government.

I would like to state CLEARLY that;

Mr. Babacan's place is not in the past, but in the future.

What Turkey needs is not a return to the old, but a brand new start with the vision of the DEVA cadres.

We do not have an agenda to shut down, join, or return, as is being claimed.

Our agenda is to get the country back on its feet in the fields of democracy, justice, and the economy.

In short, the government may need Ali Babacan's return.

But what Turkey needs is the DEVA cadres under the leadership of Ali Babacan.”
