Result from 'How is Turkey being governed?' poll set to make the government think!

Yöneylem Research has shared the results of its public opinion poll titled "How is Turkey being governed?" conducted between April 26-29.

Turkey has left the March 31 Local Elections behind.

Following the elections, which saw the CHP emerge victorious and the AKP fall to the position of the second party for the first time in its history, Yöneylem Research conducted a noteworthy public opinion poll.

In the survey, which was conducted with 2,222 participants between April 26-29, participants were asked the question, "How is Turkey being governed?"

The responses provided revealed how much public trust in the government has declined.

Accordingly, the participants' responses were as follows:

  • Those who say 'It is being governed poorly': 57 percent
  • Those who say 'It is being governed neither well nor poorly': 21.4 percent
  • Those who say 'It is being governed well': 20.6 percent
  • Those who say 'I don't know': 1 percent

RELATIONSHIP TO THE POLITICAL ATMOSPHERE

The research company that shared the results also added its assessment.

According to this, Yöneylem's assessment is as follows:

“57 percent of voters state that Turkey is being governed poorly. Those who think Turkey is being governed poorly were at the 51.5 percent level in March 2024.

The 5.5-point increase in a one-and-a-half-month period can be associated with the new political atmosphere that emerged in Turkey after March 31.

Those who think Turkey is being governed well were at the 24.2 percent level as of December 2023; this rate has declined to 20.6 percent in April 2024.”
