According to statements made by Retired Staff Colonel Aziz Ergen to veteran journalist Tuncay Mollaveisoğlu, Putin will conduct the bilateral meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad entirely under his own control.
According to the information provided by Ergen, this critical meeting will be hosted by the Russian leader, and every stage of the process will be carried out under Putin's supervision.
The purpose of the meeting is stated to be the elimination of reactionary jihadist organizations in Syria and the facilitation of cooperation between the Syrian army and the Turkish army.
