In his speech, Bitmez criticized the government's policy regarding the Israel-Palestine war, stating, "Even if history remains silent, the truth will not. They think that if they get rid of us, the problem will disappear. However, even if you get rid of us, you will not be able to escape the pangs of conscience. Even if you escape the wrath of history, you will not be able to escape the wrath of God," before collapsing to the floor.

According to a report by Eray Görgülü from T24, it was recorded in the TBMM minutes that as Bitmez fell to the ground after suffering a heart attack, voices from the AKP benches were heard shouting, "This is what the wrath of God looks like, the wrath of God."
According to the minutes, Bitmez concluded his speech by saying, "Even if you escape the pangs of conscience, you will not be able to escape the wrath of history," and then greeted the General Assembly. During this time, AKP's Özlem Zengin, who had shouted "Shame on you" during the speech, responded by saying, "You will be the ones to end up like that."
While fellow MPs and the medical team intervened to assist Bitmez, the session was adjourned for 20 minutes.

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca made a statement regarding the health condition of Hasan Bitmez, who suffered a heart attack. In a post on his X account, Koca stated the following:
"Saadet Party Kocaeli MP Mr. Hasan Bitmez fell ill during his speech at the TBMM General Assembly, was intervened by the General Assembly Medical Team, and CPR was initiated. Our MP, who was intubated and brought to Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, was immediately taken for an angiogram. Following the angiogram, he was placed on a heart-lung machine and admitted to the intensive care unit. I wish him a speedy recovery."
