Former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar has issued a call to his party's headquarters following a series of developments in Kilis. Tayyar requested that the allegations that have come to the fore in the city and the disputes within the party organization be examined comprehensively.

In his social media post, Tayyar stated that the AKP Headquarters must "definitely intervene" in Kilis, and expressed that all allegations should be investigated and the report to be prepared should be presented directly to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. At the end of his post, Tayyar warned his party, "Otherwise, Kilis is slipping away."

A SERIES OF DEVELOPMENTS IN KİLİS

One of the points Tayyar highlighted was the resignation of CHP Kilis Mayor Hakan Bilecen and the allegations that he would switch to the AKP. Tayyar argued that the process was frozen due to the allegations that surfaced regarding Bilecen.

Another development that caused controversy in the city was the resignation of AKP Kilis Provincial Chairman Zihni Serhan Diyarbakırlı. Diyarbakırlı had announced that he was leaving his post after an approximately 6-minute audio recording, which was claimed to belong to him, spread on social media.

Diyarbakırlı had also announced that he had initiated legal proceedings regarding the allegations, claiming that the audio recording in question had been edited.

DEPUTY'S BROTHER ARRESTED

Another file that has come to the fore in Kilis involved the arrest of Mehmet Salih Dal, the brother of AKP Kilis Deputy Ahmet Salih Dal. Mehmet Salih Dal and former Provincial Special Administration Secretary General Murat Küçükoğlu were detained in an operation carried out as part of an investigation that has reportedly been ongoing for about a year into the Provincial Special Administration.

Mehmet Salih Dal and Murat Küçükoğlu were arrested by the court they were brought before and sent to prison. It was stated that Mehmet Salih Dal was arrested on the allegation of interfering in a public tender.

In his post, Tayyar stated that there are those who draw connections between these developments, saying, "There are other issues, and those who draw connections between these events. And the city is very tense." The former deputy emphasized that the party must address the situation in Kilis without delay.

Tayyar's post is as follows:

"What is happening in Kilis?

Let's look at the chronology first.

CHP Kilis Mayor Hakan Bilecen resigned; the process was frozen due to allegations regarding his planned move to the AK Party.

AK Party Provincial Chairman Serhan Diyarbakırlı resigned after an audio recording surfaced on social media.

AK Party Deputy Ahmet Salih Dal's brother, Mehmet Salih Dal, was arrested on the grounds of interfering in a public tender.

There are other issues, and those who draw connections between these events.

And the city is very tense.

The AK Party Headquarters must definitely intervene in Kilis, investigate all allegations, and present the report it will prepare directly to our President.

Otherwise, Kilis is slipping away."
