Former Mayor of Ağrı Savcı Sayan reacted to the lists at the 'AKP 4th Extraordinary Grand Congress' held yesterday, stating, "They never deserve to be elected there. We will continue to say 'We drank cranberry sherbet'.."
Sayan's post on X is as follows:
"At our party congress today, I voted with love and honor for the hope of the oppressed, the hope of our country, our esteemed President.. I voted for some names only so that I would not be in the wrong against my President and my Party. Otherwise, they never deserve to be elected there. They only work for their own positions.. They might be good people, but they are never good party members. They made mistakes by working against our party's candidates in the May elections. They told our district head to work less. Today, I voted for those individuals for the sake of our unity, but it pained me.. Due to the unity of our party and our loyalty to our President, we will continue to say 'we drank cranberry sherbet'.."
