Seat distribution in the Turkish Parliament updated: AK Party ranks first with 280 deputies

Following recent resignations and party changes, the total number of deputies in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) stands at 592, with the AKP maintaining its top position with 280 seats.

The distribution of seats by party group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey has been updated following recent resignations and party changes. According to the "28th Term Deputy Seat Distribution" table on the TBMM website, the total number of deputies in Parliament is now 592.

In the new table, the AK Party maintained its first-place position with 280 deputies. The number of seats for the second-ranked New Party was recorded as 91.

The distribution of seats by party group in the TBMM has been updated with the latest changes.

As part of the latest changes, İzmir Deputy Mustafa Bilici left the New Path Party. Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban and Aydın Deputy Ömer Karakaş resigned from the İYİ Party.

With Mustafa Bilici's resignation, the number of deputies for the New Path Party fell to 19, dropping below the 20 required to form a group in Parliament. However, with the joining of Kütahya Deputy Ali Fazıl Kasap, who resigned from the CHP, the party regained the eligibility to form a group.

According to the updated distribution, the number of deputies for the İYİ Party fell to 27, and the number of deputies for the CHP fell to 44. The number of independent deputies rose to 13.

The total number of deputies in the TBMM had decreased from 600 to 592 as a result of deaths, the loss of parliamentary status, resignations due to ministerial appointments, and the resignations of some deputies who were elected as mayors in local elections.
