It has emerged that a second 'broken bus' film setup has been orchestrated against the incumbent mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu in Istanbul, one of the cities where the outcome of the local elections is most highly anticipated.
On March 10, the private public bus with code B-1836, which had sent a breakdown message to the system, set off for Başakşehir.
According to a report by Altan Sancar from PolitikYol; the bus entered a road closed to traffic next to the Başakşehir Millet Bahçesi and met with the film crew.
Vehicles were positioned in front of and behind the bus, which was waiting in the closed-off area, to create the impression that it had broken down in traffic.
The bus driver, waiting for the set to be prepared for filming, chatted with the actors and crew in the vicinity.
The actors included children and middle-aged people, with most being young. During the shoot, elderly actors were first boarded onto the bus and then made to get off.

Meanwhile, the actors sent by the agency chatted among themselves at the bus door about the shoot. While the conversation continued, a specialist from the film crew came to the front of the bus and activated a smoke machine to create the impression that smoke was rising from the bus. The filming continued until the evening hours.
IMM HAS LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION
While the filming was ongoing, the municipal administration, which monitors vehicle cameras remotely, recorded the footage. Following the shoot, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) launched an investigation into the vehicle that returned to traffic today.
A SIMILAR INCIDENT OCCURRED IN JANUARY
In January, a company filming a commercial for the AKP had set up a stage in the middle of the road to make a functional bus appear broken. Upon the situation being noticed by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), all of the bus's permits were revoked.
