Sharp response from ABB to AKP's Gökçek regarding corruption allegations! 'The offspring of a deranged political corpse...'

AKP Ankara MP Osman Gökçek, son of former Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Melih Gökçek, claimed during a press conference at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) that the ABB had committed irregularities in the procurement of coffins and shrouds in tenders held after the earthquakes.

Following Gökçek's allegations, the ABB issued a sharp statement.

"The ill-mannered offspring of a deranged political corpse who has made politics their home is trying to act like a charlatan by attaching the nation's values to their slanders," the written statement said, adding, "We find it useful to remind the public of this point once again: if you let a thief forget they are a 'thief,' they start to think of themselves as a monument to virtue."

Regarding the allegations reflected in the public domain; some of the alleged issues have been examined by the inspection board. Other matters have begun to be investigated immediately. However, we would like to state specifically that the address for anyone who claims to have evidence is clear: the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. It should be known that no one who commits a crime is ever protected at the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.
