Sharp response from Ümit Özdağ to Bahçeli: You take Öcalan, we will take the Turkish Nation
Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ gave a sharp response at his party's group meeting to the remarks regarding Öcalan, stating, 'Let him come to Parliament and announce that he has disbanded the organization.'

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had made the following remarks regarding Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the PKK terrorist organization: "If the isolation of the terrorist leader is lifted, let him come and speak at the DEM Party group meeting in the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey). Let him announce that terrorism has completely ended and the organization has been disbanded. If he shows this resolve and determination, the path to legal regulations regarding the use of the right to hope and benefiting from it should be opened wide. Let the address extend from Imralı to DEM, not Kandil or Edirne, and let this heavy and historical terror problem be completely removed from the country's agenda. I challenge you, we are ready for this."
DEM PARTY SUPPORTED
The response to this call from Bahçeli did not take long from the DEM Party. DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları responded to Bahçeli's call, saying, "The interlocutor of the Kurdish issue in Turkey is Abdullah Öcalan. If there is to be a beginning, the isolation must be lifted immediately. We are ready to take initiative for an honorable peace."
"We have been struggling for years for the isolation on Öcalan to be lifted. It must definitely be lifted. We say let him come physically and speak. Let us all see what he says. Steps must be taken urgently on this matter without wasting time. I underline once again that we, as the DEM Party, are ready to do whatever is necessary on this issue," she had said.
SHARP REACTION TO BAHÇELİ
Following these developments, Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ held a press conference and lashed out at Devlet Bahçeli with harsh words.
Questioning whether Bahçeli had prepared these statements himself or if they were served to him by the AKP, Özdağ stated that Bahçeli was the person who brought the one-man regime to the country.
Özdağ spoke, saying, "FETÖ had the TBMM bombed on July 15. Now Bahçeli wants to bring Öcalan into the TBMM and have the Parliament bombed."

You take Öcalan with you, we will take the Turkish nation, and let us go to the ballot box.
