Shocking claim about Gökhan Zan! 'I need money, what do I care about Hatay'
While the audio recordings allegedly belonging to Gökhan Zan, whom the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) withdrew from its Hatay candidacy, have caused a widespread stir, Turgay Kocakaya, the key figure in the recordings where Zan was offered 3 million dollars not to withdraw his candidacy, has broken his silence. Kocakaya claimed that Zan said, 'If we can't find the money, I will withdraw; my family needs money. I need to buy a house for my family, what do I care about Hatay or the people of Hatay.'

As the local elections approach, the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) withdrew Gökhan Zan, whom they had nominated in Hatay, from his candidacy with the statement, “Various allegations have reached us regarding his involvement in relationships that our party would never approve of.”
Turgay Kocakaya, who is alleged to have called Zan in the audio recordings where money bargaining is taking place and which are claimed to belong to Gökhan Zan, has made statements that will dominate the agenda.
In the audio recording broadcast by Sözcü TV, in which the speakers alternate between Turkish and Arabic, it is alleged that the person named Turgay Kocakaya called Zan from the AKP Hatay Provincial Building and offered him 3 million dollars not to withdraw his candidacy. Zan, in turn, is heard bargaining for 5 million dollars.

Turgay Kocakaya, the key figure at the center of the allegations, spoke to KRT.
In the KRT broadcast, Turgay Kocakaya claimed that Gökhan Zan said, “If we can't find the money, I will withdraw; my family needs money. I need to buy a house for my family, what do I care about Hatay or the people of Hatay.”
“NOTHING WILL COME OF THE RECORDING, I HAVE TAKEN MY PRECAUTIONS”
Kocakaya stated that Gökhan Zan was very angry about the published audio recordings.
Stating, “Gökhan said, ‘Nothing will come of the recording, I have taken my precautions from above’,” Kocakaya also conveyed that no official within TİP was aware of the events that took place.
