IF HE HAD THE ABILITY TO READ AND UNDERSTAND TURKISH, HE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN INTO A GOOD UNIVERSITY
Yusuf Tekin, regarding İmamoğlu, said, "If he had the ability to read and understand Turkish, he would have gotten into a good university," and advised İmamoğlu to take a Turkish language course. He also used the expression, "He must have been inspired by the terrorist groups he acts in concert with, as he is challenging the rules of the rule of law."
I PITY ÖZGÜR ÖZEL
Making harsh criticisms regarding CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Tekin said, "I truly pity Özgür Özel. Someone who is unaware of what is happening in their own party should be the one accused of unconsciousness. If he had any consciousness, he would see that I did not start the secularism debate." Furthermore, drawing attention to the debates within the CHP regarding Özel, he stated, "I suggest he watch the debates within his own party."
WHAT HAPPENED?
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, during his speech at the Action Plan for Combating Violence Against Women Promotion Meeting on Monday, reacted to the Ministry of National Education's (MEB) request to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change to close municipal daycare centers on the grounds that they are unconstitutional.
