CHP Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş spoke at the first session of the Üsküdar Municipal Council in September.

Upon AKP Council Member Vefa Yunus Taylan recalling the post by IMM Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, which was alleged to be directed at her, stating "Political careerism is poison," Dedetaş stated that she did not believe Polat's words were directed at her.

'WE WILL SEE AGAIN IN 5 YEARS'

Sinem Dedetaş said the following:

"Our work and focus is Üsküdar. This was a matter related to a statement made completely off the cuff. It already became quite a topic of discussion. As the Turkish public, we like such topics, but we have to look at our work. I have never been a careerist person. My career is already there for all to see. I am not one of those people who does politics for their own seat. God willing, in 5 years, we will see again who has goals and who does not."

'I DID NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY AT ALL'

"I did not take the tweet personally at all. They generally say such things, but I do not think it is about me. Because he is one of our close colleagues; if he had a problem, he would talk to me. Üsküdar expects service from us. Therefore, let us work with heart and soul, in unity. We will see in 5 years anyway. Those who are successful will be elected, and those who are not will be eliminated. Personally, my expectation is to provide the best service in the place where I was elected. Our desire here as a Council is to produce the best service for Üsküdar together with you. Time will show the rest for all of us..."
