Socialist International freezes CHP's membership, accepts YENİ Party's application

The Socialist International, which brings together social democratic and center-left parties from around the world, has taken a notable decision regarding two parties from Turkey. As a result of an evaluation by the organization's authorized bodies, the Republican People's Party's (CHP) official membership in the organization has been frozen.
During the process in which the CHP's membership was suspended, the YENİ Party's membership application was also decided upon. Following the review, it was announced that the YENİ Party's request to join the Socialist International had been accepted.
