Statement from the Istanbul Governor's Office on October 29: 'Let's decorate our Istanbul with flags'

The Istanbul Governor's Office has invited all Istanbul residents to decorate the city with flags on the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

According to the statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office, all Istanbul residents have been invited to decorate the city with flags on the 100th anniversary of the Republic. 

Information regarding the preparations for the October 29 Republic Day will be provided at a press conference to be held by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül tomorrow at 11:00 AM in front of the Fatih Post Office.

The statement from the Governor's Office also included the following remarks:

"As a nation, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of our Republic. During Republic Day week, the Istanbul Governor's Office invites all Istanbul residents to decorate our city with flags. In this context, our Governor's Office has issued a circular to all public institutions, organizations, and NGOs."

The statement also noted that Governor Gül "will give the start of the invitation together with our children, who are the guarantee of our future."
