Statement from MHP regarding Bahçeli's call: 'He took a great risk'

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's statements at the MHP Group meeting continue to resonate. Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman and Istanbul MP Semih Yalçın made statements regarding these remarks by Bahçeli. 

Stating that Turkey is passing through a difficult historical bottleneck, Yalçın said the following:

"The conjuncture is as heavy as lead, the air is quite cloudy and foggy, and political visibility is quite low. We are having difficulty seeing ahead and determining our direction. The end times are flowing before our eyes at a dizzying speed; as life slips through our fingers, it is as if it is flapping its wings toward the unknown. Global actors, who are attempting to establish a new order of exploitation by taking advantage of the chaos and uncertainty, hesitation and doubt surrounding our world, are working harder than ever before. The dirty ledgers of the past have been taken down from their shelves, and the most treacherous scales and the most perfidious alliances have been established to settle old scores. Global imperialism, which knows no satiety or pause, has deployed its proxies and subcontractors, whom it has equipped with all kinds of tools, equipment, weapons, and gear, to the field for map changes, political cadastre, and occupation. The chief imperialist, the USA, which is throwing caution to the wind to maintain its waning role as the world's gendarme, appears to have taken all risks.

The way to lead our nation to safety and to ensure our state reaches its goal without incident is to follow the leader and to obey the words and advice of a wise guide. The second is to be one, to be great, and to be alive. It is to embrace each other tightly. It is to hold onto social peace and rely on the thousand-year-old law of brotherhood. Unity and solidarity will make us resilient against uncertainties, stormy weather, external factors, and external and internal dangers. Thus, our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, has made a call that constitutes a turning point in our political history with his wise leadership characteristics and statesman experience in the face of the fire that is gradually expanding in our region and engulfing the world. Mr. Devlet Bahçeli has invited everyone, every segment of society, to a mobilization of the heart, to unity and solidarity, in order to ward off the imperialist threat directly aimed at Turkey's survival and our nation's sovereignty.

HE RENDERED DIRTY CALCULATIONS VOID

This invitation carries messages directed both inward and outward. This invitation is a move directed at international power centers as much as it is at local political actors. Our Chairman's invitation has crumpled up and thrown into the trash the plans of global actors, especially the USA, which target our national integrity, regarding the region. It has rendered dirty calculations void. The game has changed at its root, and the traps have been broken. Who holds the word and sovereignty in our geography has been announced and reminded through the mouth of the leader of the most determined political party that reflects the nation's conscience and represents the reflex of existence.

HE TOOK ALL POLITICAL RISKS

The MHP has always been a political party that does not block the path of Turkish politics, but rather clears it. The MHP has determined its politics according to what the security, well-being, and prosperity of our nation require, and what the interests of our state necessitate. Throughout its political life, the MHP has set games and broken games, but it has not played games. It is a fact that great moves and great breakthroughs are made by great leaders and great political parties. Politics is not the work of cowards. Therefore, they take political risks and act bravely. The MHP leader has done just that. How timely and meaningful the call made by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli was, by taking all political risks, has been revealed by the vile attack carried out by the separatist terrorist organization PKK on TUSAŞ. It was immediately understood that the aforementioned call was based on very important foundations, solid justifications, and leadership foresight.
