Statement on 'Boycott' from MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli released a message on the anniversary of Alparslan Türkeş's passing. In his message, he criticized the consumption boycott that took place yesterday. Some excerpts from Bahçeli's statement are as follows:

'Attempting an operation against our tradesmen, our notables, and in short, our social and economic life under the mask of a boycott cannot be explained or expressed through freedom of expression and thought, or democratic rights and gains, nor can it be explained or expressed through love for country and nation.'
