The DEM Party delegation, which visited Imralı Island yesterday to meet with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, will visit the Presidential Palace today at 15:00 to meet with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding the process.

Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar will conduct the meeting with Erdoğan. According to a report by Besti Karalar from Ekonomim, it was learned that the steps to be taken following the terrorist organization PKK's decision to disband will be discussed during the meeting.

Accordingly, the terrorist organization PKK is expected to initiate the process of laying down arms within this framework. It was claimed that this process would last 3 days and that footage of the laying down of arms in 3 different regions would be shared with the public. While the first footage is expected to come from Sulaymaniyah in Northern Iraq, a message from terrorist leader Öcalan will be read during the laying down of arms.

Emphasizing that the process is a historic step, DEM Party officials stated that the state must also take certain steps.

It was learned that with the laying down of arms, the work of the commission expected to be established in Parliament will be accelerated.

On the other hand, the AKP will hold a retreat in Kızılcahamam between July 11-13. At this retreat, how the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process will be explained to the public during the summer months and the steps that can be taken regarding the process will be discussed. The views and suggestions of the deputies will be evaluated at the meeting, which will be attended by Erdoğan and cabinet members.
