A new claim has emerged regarding former Minister of Family and Social Policies Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, who resigned from her post as AKP Deputy Chair following reports that she received 2.2 billion TL from the stock market.
Taha Hüseyin Karagöz, known for his proximity to the government, alleged that nearly 60 chiefs of staff were replaced during Kaya's ministerial tenure due to "incompatibility." In his statement, where he touched upon Kaya's educational and career background, Karagöz described this situation as "tragic."
Karagöz also raised a claim regarding TERA executive Erdin Özel. Arguing that Kaya wanted to include Özel in a program to welcome or see off the President by taking him to the airport, Karagöz claimed that after hearing she would be dismissed, Kaya engaged intermediaries to reach the President.
Anahtar Party Deputy Chair Prof. Dr. Özcan Güngör also made a statement regarding the aforementioned changes in chiefs of staff. Referring to Kaya's ministerial period, Güngör stated, "A total of 60 chiefs of staff were changed in 776 days."
Emphasizing that chief of staff positions are "exceptional civil service cadres," Güngör evaluated the issue through the lens of meritocracy in public office. Noting that millions of young people are preparing for the KPSS (Public Personnel Selection Examination), Güngör reacted by saying, "Where is the respect for rights, labor, merit, and morality?"
