Striking claims from Cemal Enginyurt regarding the AKP congress: 'A dubious process'

CHP İstanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt made harsh criticisms regarding the AKP's grand congress on the program 'Sansürsüz' (Uncensored), hosted by Sinem Fıstıkoğlu on Halk TV. Claiming that the congress was dubious, Enginyurt argued that some individuals were included in the Central Executive Board (MYK) list without even being members of the AKP.

'THE MYK LIST WAS DETERMINED IN ADVANCE'

Enginyurt stated that it is not even known when Ünal Karaman and Serap Yazıcı joined the party, yet they were made MYK members directly, saying, "They were pinned with badges, but they entered the MYK list before even becoming party members. How does this happen? This is an unlawful situation; it defies reason and common sense. That is why this congress is dubious."

'DISTRIBUTING WATCHES TO DELEGATES IS BRIBERY'

Addressing the allegations that luxury watches were distributed to delegates at the congress, Enginyurt said, "According to this claim, which even AKP members have voiced, 4,000 TL watches were given to 1,600 delegates. This is a situation never before seen in politics. A party distributing watches to its own delegates is clearly dubious; it is bribery."

'ERDOĞAN IS CONTRADICTING HIMSELF'

Recalling that President Erdoğan had previously criticized deputies who left his party to join others, Enginyurt said, "Erdoğan, who said last year, 'If you are going to switch to another party, resign from your parliamentary seat,' is now adding new names to his party from everywhere. Everyone needs to see the moral contradiction here."
