Striking preference from DEM Party voters: People's Alliance ranks first in poll
The May 2026 "Voter Agenda" survey by Ank-Ar Research has revealed striking results regarding the political position of the DEM Party. According to the poll, a significant portion of DEM Party voters see their party as closer to the People's Alliance than to the opposition.

In the May 2026 "Voter Agenda" survey conducted by Ank-Ar Research, participants were asked the question, "Who do you think the DEM Party is closer to?" The research results revealed the assessments of both voters across Turkey and DEM Party voters regarding the issue.
RESULTS ACROSS TURKEY WERE NECK-AND-NECK
According to the general results of the research, voters' opinions regarding the political position of the DEM Party showed a very close distribution between the two blocs.
In the poll results, the rate of those who see the DEM Party as closer to the People's Alliance was measured at 35.7 percent, while the rate of those who find the party closer to the opposition was 35.4 percent.
Meanwhile, 28.9 percent of participants did not express an opinion on the matter, responding with "I have no idea."
The data revealed that assessments regarding the political position of the DEM Party across Turkey are shaped around two different views at almost equal levels.
DEM PARTY VOTERS' PREFERENCE WAS DIFFERENT
One of the striking results in the research was the assessments of DEM Party voters regarding their own party.
Among DEM Party voters who responded to the question, "Who do you think the DEM Party is closer to?", the highest rate was seen in the People's Alliance option.
According to the poll results, 47.7 percent of DEM Party voters stated that they see their party as closer to the People's Alliance.
OPPOSITION OPTION REMAINED IN THIRD PLACE
The rate of those who said "I have no idea" among DEM Party voters was recorded at 28.0 percent.
The rate of those who see their party as closer to the opposition remained at 24.3 percent.
Accordingly, in the research, while the rate of those who see their party as close to the People's Alliance ranked first among DEM Party voters, the rate of those who find it close to the opposition remained behind both the People's Alliance option and the "I have no idea" response.
THE PICTURE REVEALED BY THE POLL
The results of the May 2026 research show that while the perception regarding the political position of the DEM Party is distributed in a balanced way between two different views across Turkey, the People's Alliance option stands out in the assessments of DEM Party voters themselves.
