Striking remarks from a high-level IYI Party official! 'If municipalities remain with CHP without IYI Party's support...'
It has been claimed that resignations and dismissals will continue within the IYI Party, which rejected the CHP's offer for cooperation in the local elections. A high-level official from the party reportedly said, "If the AKP takes the metropolitan municipalities in the elections, the voters will hold the IYI Party accountable. However, if the municipalities remain with the CHP again without the IYI Party's support, the IYI Party will be wiped off the political scene."

Waters are not calming down in the IYI Party, which decided to enter the local elections 'freely and independently'. The candidacy of Ayhan Pala, who was announced by Chairperson Meral Akşener as the mayoral candidate for Ortahisar, was cancelled because he advocated for cooperation with the CHP.
On the other hand, Ali Kıdık, one of the founders of the IYI Party, also announced his resignation, criticizing Akşener with harsh words. In a post on his social media account, Kıdık stated, "We trusted the 'mother'. But the 'mother' listened to the bad ones. The 'mother' paved the way for the bad ones. The 'mother' gave power to the bad ones."
DEPARTURES FROM IYI PARTY WILL CONTINUE
According to the report by Cumhuriyet; in the IYI Party, where news of resignations, dismissals, and expulsions have been coming one after another, some party strategists stated that departures from the party regarding the issue of cooperation will continue.
GİK'S STANCE IS HARSH
Strategists state that the GİK (General Administrative Board) has shown a harsh stance regarding cooperation and will sideline those who express opinions in favor of cooperation. It is noted that the number of those in favor of cooperation within the party's provincial and district organizations and the Presidential Council is high.
A GAME AGAINST AKŞENER
Conversely, the fact that the majority in the GİK opposes cooperation is interpreted as "a game against Akşener". It is claimed that the 35 GİK members who said "No" to cooperation will intimidate the 15 GİK members who are in favor of it.
'IYI PARTY WILL BE WIPED OFF THE POLITICAL SCENE'
On the other hand, a high-level official from the party comments, "Independently of the GİK, we must maintain dialogue with the CHP without entering into alliance debates. If the AKP takes the metropolitan municipalities in the elections, the voters will hold the IYI Party accountable. However, if the municipalities remain with the CHP again without the IYI Party's support, the IYI Party will be wiped off the political scene."
