Striking result from Istanbul poll! The percentage of those saying 'I would vote for İmamoğlu'…

As Turkey heads toward local elections, public opinion research companies have accelerated their polling efforts.

Most recently, MAK Research shared the results of its public opinion survey conducted for Istanbul.

In the research conducted in November, citizens were asked the question, "If there were local elections in Istanbul this Sunday, would you vote for Ekrem İmamoğlu for Metropolitan Mayor?"

The preferences of the voters participating in the survey were as follows:

• I would definitely vote: 28 percent,
• I would vote: 15 percent,
• My voting behavior may change depending on the opponent: 9 percent
• I would definitely not vote: 25 percent,
• I would not vote: 16 percent,
• Undecided / no answer: 7 percent

“WE SEE THAT İMAMOĞLU HAS A CHANCE OF WINNING”

Evaluating the survey results during the live broadcast he attended, MAK Research owner Mehmet Ali Kulat said, "When looking at the results, we actually see that Ekrem İmamoğlu has a chance of winning. If we distribute the undecided voters mathematically, it appears he has a serious chance as of today."

Stating that the AKP is implementing a different strategy for the local elections, Kulat said, "The President generally does this and has done so for years. Those who are candidates or whose names are mentioned, even those who have not applied for candidacy, are currently working in the field. Everyone is working as if they are the candidate themselves. The provincial administration is also providing significant support for this."

Stating that the AKP's candidate must be determined for a full assessment of İmamoğlu, Kulat said, "For Ekrem İmamoğlu's test to be evaluated, and for the process to be assessed, his opponent also needs to emerge."
