Successive resignations in İzmir: 5 AKP District Chairs removed from office

In İzmir, 5 AKP district chairs have been removed from office, and the Urla District Chair has announced their resignation. The reason cited was poor performance.

A significant change has taken place within the Justice and Development Party (AKP) İzmir organization. It has been learned that five district chairs were removed from office, while one district chair resigned. According to a report in the İzmir-based Gündeme Bakış newspaper, it was stated that new appointments will be made to replace the removed chairs.

5 DISTRICT CHAIRS REMOVED FROM OFFICE

The names and districts of the removed district chairs are as follows:

Kınık District Chair: Sami Mollaahmet

Foça District Chair: İrfan Çalışkan

Dikili District Chair: Tahsin Şekerci

Balçova District Chair: Oğuzhan Bizkevelci

Narlıdere District Chair: Mustafa Yener

The chairs in these districts had taken office following congresses held last year. However, these chairs were removed from their positions due to poor performance.

URLA DISTRICT CHAIR RESIGNED

Another development came from the Urla district. The Urla District Chair announced their resignation in a statement made in recent days. Thus, in addition to the district chairs removed in AKP İzmir, another resignation has occurred.

8 PROVINCIAL CHAIRS HAD ALSO RESIGNED

The changes recently experienced in the AKP have not been limited to İzmir. Last week, 8 provincial chairs had also resigned. Between September 18-20, provincial chairs in Muğla, Niğde, Tunceli, Bitlis, Çanakkale, Adıyaman, Ordu, and Elazığ had left their posts.

Narlıdere District Chair Mustafa Yener announced his removal from office via social media. In a post he made on Instagram, he announced that he had left his post.
