Support for 'new opening process' from Murat Kurum

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum evaluated the ongoing efforts in earthquake-affected regions and the steps that need to be taken for Turkey's unity during his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Adıyaman Square and Trade Center.

Stating that they have been continuing their work in 11 provinces, primarily in Adıyaman, following the February 6 earthquakes, Kurum said, "We have fought shoulder to shoulder with you since the very first moment of the earthquake. This struggle of ours will continue until the last house is delivered." Kurum emphasized that they have not allowed the work in the region to be used as material for "dirty politics."

Expressing that they are preparing the earthquake regions for the future, Kurum said, "With the power of our state, we have mobilized all our resources to meet everything the earthquake region needs. No matter what calculations others are pursuing, we are striving to deliver our homes even one day earlier."

'LET US GROW THE GARDEN OF FRIENDSHIP'

Touching upon the "new process" discussions that emerged after MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli shook hands with DEM Party deputies, Kurum gave a message of unity:

"In this country, we are one, we are together, and we are at peace, with our Turks, Kurds, Laz, and Circassians. Come, let us be unifying, not divisive. Let us not grow the fire of separation and separatism, but the garden of friendship and brotherhood. This state is a state that has displayed the most determined stance in the fight against terrorism and separatism."
