Support from IYI Party to AKP in parliamentary speaker elections!
The IYI Party supported the AKP in the Bilecik Provincial General Assembly speaker elections. In return, the AKP supported 2 IYI Party members for the Provincial Committee membership.

In the March 31 Local Elections in Bilecik, the CHP won 10 seats, while the AKP, MHP, and IYI Party each secured 2 seats in the provincial general assembly.
In the Bilecik Provincial General Assembly speaker elections held at the Bilecik Provincial General Assembly Meeting Hall, both the CHP, which held the majority of seats, and the AKP put forward one candidate each.
In the first round, CHP candidate İsmail Hakkı Elmas received 10 votes, while AKP candidate Ramazan Kurtulmuş received 11 votes, with 1 blank vote cast.
The same results emerged in the second round, and the AKP candidate was elected as the Bilecik Provincial General Assembly Speaker.
In exchange for the support of the MHP and IYI Party, the AKP did not put forward a candidate for the Provincial Committee membership.
The CHP group proposed the names Ekrem Yunak, Naci Öney, and Serdar Yavuz, while the MHP group proposed İsmail Yağar, and the IYI Party group proposed Orhan Uğur and Ömer Çoban.
In the voting that took place, the CHP candidates remained at 10 votes, while IYI Party members Orhan Uğur and Ömer Çoban received 12 votes, and MHP member İsmail Yağar also received 12 votes. Accordingly, the provincial committee was formed by Orhan Uğur, Ömer Çoban, and İsmail Yağar.
On the other hand, in the election for the 1st Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, the IYI Party group nominated Orhan Uğur, while the CHP nominated Nurcan Özçakır. IYI Party member Orhan Uğur received 12 votes and became the 1st Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
