In the IYI Party, which stated that it will field its own candidates in 81 provinces, Dr. Suat Sarı, the IMM IYI Party Group spokesperson whose name has been mentioned for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayoral candidacy, has confirmed the candidacy claims.

According to the news in Cumhuriyet, Suat Sarı, who announced that he will be a candidate for the IMM candidacy, stated that his decision was based on the fact that Istanbul's most important problem is traffic and transportation, saying, "Since no candidate with my background and merit has emerged in this field until today, and as a technocrat who has developed dozens of projects on this subject, I have decided to become a candidate to solve Istanbul's accumulated problems. If my party leader deems it appropriate, there is very high added value that I will bring to this city. I am ready to hit the road and spend great energy for Istanbul."

Making an assessment regarding the resignations continuing in the party, Sarı said, "Entering politics is a matter of ambition. There are those who remain very stable, and there are also people who have goals. When people with goals do not see the return on their goals, they use their right to resign. We worked with all of them in the past periods. They all made significant contributions. I think these resignations will be balanced by new participations after a while."
