AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş following his party's parliamentary group meeting. While the meeting sparked public curiosity, the timing of the session was particularly notable.

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL HAD ANNOUNCED HE WOULD MEET WITH KURTULMUŞ
CHP leader Özgür Özel, in a press conference held the previous day, stated that he would meet with Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş and that they would take another step once a decision for an early election is made, saying, "There is a stance that the Parliament Speaker must also take regarding a by-election. We will do our part. We believe that a by-election ballot box should be established. Once this decision is made, we will have another very ambitious move; we will announce it on that day."
When asked about the meeting again, Özel made the following remarks:
“I have an agenda focused on by-elections, as well as other matters regarding Mr. Numan. He made the last visit, and I will go as well. I have other agenda items with the Speaker. For instance, they had the decision on Can Atalay read out. The Constitutional Court issued a new ruling stating that the 'read decision is null and void,' but they did not have that read. Can Atalay is being held for nothing. Now, 50 deputies signed a report chaired by Mr. Numan, stating that 'Constitutional Court rulings must be implemented in full.' The person who should do this is actually Mr. Numan. There is no practical point in signing a wish with 50 people for something he is supposed to do himself. Since that signature is also your will, the will of the entire Parliament, you chaired that commission. You should do your part as soon as possible. I know one swallow doesn't make a summer, but let the arrival of spring begin with the flower you allow to bloom.
