Allegations made by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel regarding Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek and 'MASAK reports' have come to the fore. Following Özel's statements, Minister Şimşek responded with a post on the social media platform X.

Stating that MASAK reports are requested only by the prosecutor's office and are submitted directly to the prosecutor's office, Şimşek said, "No one's knowledge or interference other than the prosecutor's office is possible."

Minister Şimşek expressed that the accusations made regarding the functioning of state institutions do not reflect the truth, emphasizing that he felt the need to inform the public accurately.

MASAK reports requested by the prosecutor's office are reported directly to the prosecutor's office, and no one's knowledge or interference other than the prosecutor's office is possible.

CHP leader Özel had made the following allegations about Minister Şimşek:

All economic circles in the world have seen that Mehmet Şimşek is not a democrat or an economist managing the country with rational policies, but a gunman at the command of an autocrat, a hitman for an autocrat. Someone named Mehmet Şimşek has neither credibility nor anything left to contribute to this country."
