Talk of Muharrem İnce returning to CHP: CHP deputy confirms the claims

CHP Kahramanmaraş Deputy Ali Öztunç has confirmed the claims that Memleket Party Chairman and 2018 presidential candidate Muharrem İnce will join the CHP.

These claims, which have been frequently voiced in Ankara political circles recently, were brought up on the program "Aklın Yolu" (The Path of Reason) hosted by Aslı Kurtuluş Mutlu on Sözcü TV.

On the program, when asked by Aslı Kurtuluş Mutlu, "What do you say regarding the claim that Muharrem İnce will join the CHP?", CHP's Öztunç replied, "I have information on this, it is true."

'I DO NOT KNOW THE HEADQUARTERS' STANCE'

Öztunç continued his remarks as follows:

"*According to the information I have, everyone knows that Mr. Muharrem has an intention to return to the Republican People's Party.

*However, I do not know the stance of the Republican People's Party headquarters management on this issue. But I do know that Mr. Muharrem has such a request, a desire to return to his 'father's hearth'.

*We have friends in Mr. Muharrem's close circle with whom we have a rapport. They state that Mr. Muharrem has a desire to return to his father's hearth.

*I do not think this will be concluded immediately. The agenda will likely be more about the injustices, unlawful sanctions, and unfair practices experienced recently.

*However, I do not know what the headquarters thinks about this or what kind of plan the Chairman has on this matter. This information has not been shared at this moment."
