Tanju Özcan: 'I will not let Bolu be disgraced to the world like Karabük'

Allegations made by some male and female students on the Karabük University 'confession page' regarding sexual encounters with African students had become a major topic of discussion. Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, referring to the issue, stated, 'I will not let Bolu be disgraced to the world like Karabük.'

The claims that African students, who make up 5,257 of the foreign students at Karabük University, were transmitting HPV and HIV to other students had become a major topic of discussion in Turkey. The Karabük Provincial Health Directorate, however, denied the allegations.

Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan noted in a post on the social media platform X that he would not let these allegations go.

Who or which sect appointed this individual called İbrahim Kürtül, who made 50% of Karabük University's student population foreign and disgraced the university to the world, to Bolu?

How did the number of foreign students in Bolu, which was 306 in 2019, rise to 3,234 today with the arrival of this individual?

What kind of money are the foreigners brought by this individual paying to which agencies?

Are the allegations that foreigners are being registered as students in exchange for money to obtain residence permits true?

Is there a common spiritual bond between Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Rector Mustafa Alişarlı and this individual called İbrahim Kürtül?

As long as this individual called İbrahim Kürtül is not removed from his post in Bolu, I will not let these matters go; I will not let Bolu be disgraced to the world like Karabük!!!"
