An indictment has been prepared in the investigation conducted by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the CHP-run Bolu Municipality.
It was stated that the investigation is being carried out under the charges of "bribery," "extortion," "fraud," and "violation of the Law on Foundations."
It was learned that the indictment prepared against Tanju Özcan, who was arrested and subsequently suspended from his duties, consists of 178 pages.
NOTABLE POST FROM TANJU ÖZCAN
Following the completion of the indictment, a statement was made from Tanju Özcan's X account.
In the post, while it was noted that various corruption charges were directed by the prosecutor's office, it was argued that there is no claim regarding any financial gain provided to himself or his relatives.
The statement included the following expressions:
"Finally, my case has been opened. According to the prosecutor's office, I have committed all sorts of corruption. But at the end of the day, there is no claim that I provided a single penny of benefit to myself or my relatives. If I have not provided any benefit to myself or my relatives, for whom have I committed all this corruption? Please watch the hearings. I am ready. Let's go. Bring it on."
THREE MINISTRIES LISTED AS COMPLAINANTS IN THE FILE
It was stated that the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the General Directorate of Foundations, and the Ministry of Interior are among the plaintiff/complainant institutions in the prepared indictment.

It was stated that numerous charges are directed against Tanju Özcan under different headings in the file.
The indictment includes charges of "extortion by coercion" and "attempted extortion by coercion" within the scope of the "markets incident," "extortion by coercion" within the scope of the "licensing incident," "qualified fraud" within the scope of the "sacrifice incident" and "progress payment incident," "attempted extortion by coercion" within the scope of the "concrete incident," and "bribery" and "violation of Law No. 5072" within the scope of the "cafe incident."
BOLSEV FOUNDATION DETAIL ALSO IN THE FILE
It was noted in the indictment that Tanju Özcan is included in the file in his capacity as both the Mayor of Bolu and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the BOLSEV Foundation.
It was stated that charges of "extortion," "attempted extortion," "receiving bribes," "qualified fraud," and "violation of Law No. 5072" are directed against Özcan.
