Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was detained on March 19 as part of two separate investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding "corruption" and "terrorism" charges, following the cancellation of his 31-year-old diploma. It was reported today that an arrest decision has been issued against him.
