CHP deputies Sevda Erdan Kılıç and Mahir Polat have reacted to Party Spokesperson Deniz Yücel. The statement made by Deniz Yücel in response to Oğuz Kaan Salıcı's criticisms of CHP leader Özgür Özel regarding 'normalization' led deputies to assess that it 'did not befit party traditions.'

The response given by CHP Spokesperson Deniz Yücel to the criticisms made by CHP Istanbul Deputy Oğuz Kaan Salıcı regarding Özgür Özel's 'normalization' policy and his remarks that "A party convention will be held if necessary" has caused tensions to escalate within the CHP.

CHP Izmir deputies Sevda Erdan Kılıç and Mahir Polat criticized Deniz Yücel's post for its 'tone.'

In her post, Sevda Erdan Kılıç stated, "Targeting someone first and then calling for unity is incompatible with political consistency. One must rethink either the language of criticism or the call for unity."

Mahir Polat, in his own post, supported Salıcı by describing his remarks as "Salıcı's timely criticisms, delivered in a tone befitting a CHP member." Polat stated that Deniz Yücel responded with a 'tone far removed from party traditions.'

Supporting Salıcı's criticisms, Polat said, "First of all, the fact that he could not provide any explanation to satisfy either our party members or the public regarding the criticized issues has demonstrated how justified Mr. Salıcı's criticisms were."
