Tensions had risen between CHP and İYİ Party! Dervişoğlu and Özel are meeting
Following tensions in Parliament, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu will visit CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at the CHP Headquarters on Monday. This meeting is being closely followed after the recent disputes between the two parties.

In recent days, DEM Party MP George Aslan raised tensions in Parliament by criticizing the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality for commissioning a Talat Pasha monument and using certain expressions regarding Talat Pasha. It was alleged that the speech of İYİ Party MP Şenol Sunat, who reacted to Aslan's words, was interrupted by Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Tekin Bingöl. Following this intervention, İYİ Party Parliamentary Clerk Yasin Öztürk headed to the podium and reacted to Bingöl.
HARSH WORDS FROM DERVİŞOĞLU TO CHP
In a statement made after the events, Dervişoğlu said, “They punished our Denizli MP Mr. Yasin Öztürk with a censure. Here, DEM, AK Party, and CHP acted together. They may all be one, but we are alone for the sake of Turkey's future. I do not recognize and I condemn the decision of the TBMM to issue a censure to our Parliamentary Clerk friend, Mr. Yasin Öztürk. Our MP friends will no longer address the Speaker of the Parliament as 'Mr. Speaker' when they take the podium, as he remained silent and kept quiet against a mentality that does not refrain from carrying the theses of the Armenian diaspora to Turkey.”
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel responded to Dervişoğlu's statements, saying, “We know that the opposition clashing with each other over such issues and responding with harsh language will not please any of us, but will please one person. And that person is the one who oppresses us all. We must leave yesterday in the past. As the CHP, we will continue to maintain our good relations due to the respect we have for the İYİ Party in the coming period. The opposition has no right to fall out with each other in such a process. Let them not say 'we are alone' to anyone, regardless of who they are allied with outside of the CHP's alliance; we are the Turkey alliance. We talked a lot before the local elections. Anyone who keeps themselves outside of the party that founded the Republic and Turkey, which is the party that stands against us and is the first party in the last elections and all polls, would be excluding the nation. Mr. Müsavat would never want that; I vouch for his good intentions.”
During the meeting to be held on Monday, it is expected that the future of the relations between the two parties and issues of cooperation in Parliament will be discussed.
