The internal reckoning continues in the AKP, which fell to the position of the 2nd party for the first time since 2002 in the March 31 local elections.
Following the election results, the AKP decided to establish 4 separate commissions.
According to the report in the Türkiye newspaper, the commissions established to evaluate the election results include one minister, one deputy chairman, and one academic. The commissions, which will work in liaison with the strategy team, will be coordinated by the Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETA). Where mistakes were made and the reasons for the election defeat will be examined in detail.

The reasons why voters did not go to the polls and why voters who changed their voting preferences did so are being investigated. Based on the reports prepared, it will be determined what path to follow in which region and what kind of changes, if any, will be made in the organization. The detailed reports to be prepared will be presented to President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
