That party's parliamentary group is set to fall!

It has been claimed that Future Party's Mustafa Bilici will join the AKP. If the transfer takes place, the New Path Group will fall below the threshold required to maintain a parliamentary group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

While some mayors and members of parliament are expected to be pinned with party badges at the program to be held today as part of the 25th anniversary of the AKP's founding, a notable name has emerged in the political corridors.

It has been alleged that Future Party İzmir MP Mustafa Bilici, who was elected from the CHP lists, will join the AKP at the ceremony. If Bilici changes parties, a critical outcome will emerge regarding the balance of power in the TBMM.

In the event of Bilici's departure, the number of MPs in the New Path Group in Parliament will drop to 19. A political party group requires at least 20 MPs to maintain its existence in the TBMM.

Speaking to Sözcü TV, journalist Nergis Demirkaya stated that Bilici was one of the names within the New Path Group who signed the "framework law." Demirkaya noted that the risk of the group falling had been on the agenda before, but added that it would not be a surprise if the group continued through intra-opposition solidarity and potential new participants.

The claims of switching to the AKP are not limited to Bilici. İYİ Party Gaziantep MP Mehmet Mustafa Gurban also announced his resignation from his party in a statement yesterday.

When asked, "Will you join the AK Party?", Gurban replied, "Yes." Furthermore, it has been suggested that former İYİ Party Sakarya MP Ümit Dikbayır and İYİ Party Aydın MP Ömer Karakaş could also join the AKP.
