CHP deputy Burhanettin Bulut stated that the Presidential Palace's expenditures in October reached a record level. Bulut noted that while the philosophy of "there is no saving on prestige" is defended, salary increases for civil servants and retirees are kept limited under the pretext of insufficient resources.

Bulut emphasized that at a time when citizens struggling with economic crisis and high inflation are facing livelihood difficulties, the Palace's spending in October was far above the highest expenditure in January. He stated that 2 billion 285 million 975 thousand TL was spent from the Presidential budget in October.

Bulut noted the following:

"In our country, where the lowest pension is 16 thousand 681 TL, the Palace's spending in October alone is equivalent to the salaries of 137 thousand 040 retirees.

In our country, where the minimum wage is 22 thousand 104 TL 67 kuruş, the Palace's spending in October alone is equivalent to the salaries of 103 thousand 415 workers.
