In recent days, Bilal Erdoğan, son of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, organized an event where he met with famous figures.

The presence of legendary Fenerbahçe goalkeeper Volkan Demirel at this meeting drew attention and caused a wide stir on social media.

In a statement to Asist Analiz regarding this meeting and the photo, Volkan Demirel stated that he stays away from politics and that he can attend any event he is invited to.

Demirel said, "I have no politics. I respond to invitations where I am invited. The owner of the venue is a brother I have known for a very long time; he asked, 'Brother, will you come?' and I said 'I will come.' Tomorrow, if they invite me somewhere else, I will go there too. No one should try to pull me to one side; I have no side. I am entirely a child of Turkey, and I will take photos with everyone; this does not bother me, and it should not bother you either. I have no side in the Fenerbahçe environment either; I am a Fenerbahçe fan. President Aziz is like a father to me, and Ali Koç is like an older brother. I have no right or left in politics; I am a child of Turkey. My politics is football," he stated.
