The vast majority of SGK debts belong to AKP-run municipalities!
The Social Security Institution (SGK) has placed liens on the accounts of 4 CHP-run municipalities citing premium debts. However, it has emerged that the vast majority of SGK debts belong to AKP-run municipalities.

The SGK has targeted CHP-run municipalities due to premium debts and blocked the accounts of 4 municipalities. The total SGK debt of these municipalities accounts for only 6.5 percent of the total debt. In contrast, the debt of AKP-run municipalities to the SGK holds a 93.5 percent share.
Aegean Municipalities Union President Ferdi Zeyrek stated, “When the SGK debt ratios are clear, the fact that lien procedures are only being carried out against CHP-run municipalities can be interpreted as a political move. Such actions negatively affect the public's access to services and the financial structure of the municipalities,” he said.
THE MUNICIPALITY WITH THE HIGHEST DEBT IS AKP-RUN BURSA
According to information obtained by Sözcü from Court of Accounts data, the municipality with the highest debt to the SGK is Bursa Metropolitan Municipality with 670 million 252 thousand TL. However, a significant portion of this debt remains from the AKP era. In addition to the Bursa Municipality, which passed to the CHP, Adana with 503 million TL and Sakarya Metropolitan Municipalities with 171 million TL were also among the most indebted municipalities.

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality: 1 billion 913 million 689 thousand TL
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality: 1 billion 155 million 918 thousand TL
Samsun Water and Sewerage Administration: 502 million 999 thousand TL
Malatya Water and Sewerage Administration: 301 million 398 thousand TL
Kayseri Water and Sewerage Administration: 224 million 589 thousand TL
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality: 27 million 667 thousand TL.
