The woman who recorded CHP's Yazgan speaks out: 'He grabbed my waist and pulled me toward him...'
Tuğba A., who provided testimony as part of the investigation launched into CHP Edirne Deputy Ahmet Baran Yazgan, recounted in full detail the events she alleges took place on the night of August 12. Claiming that Yazgan attempted to kiss her forcibly, that a dispute subsequently broke out in the house, and that she was assaulted and insulted, A. stated that she recorded the footage to protect herself and her daughter.

CHP Edirne Deputy Ahmet Baran Yazgan has been referred to the party's disciplinary board with a request for "permanent expulsion" while under precautionary suspension, following allegations of harassment against a woman.
CHP Party Spokesperson Müslim Sarı stated that an investigation was launched into Yazgan by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after footage related to the incident was shared on social media. Regarding the party administration's decision, Sarı announced, "Within the framework of our party's fundamental principles, bylaws, and disciplinary provisions, Edirne Deputy Ahmet Baran Yazgan has been referred to the disciplinary board as of today with a request for 'permanent expulsion' while under precautionary suspension."
TESTIMONY REGARDING THE NIGHT OF THE INCIDENT
Tuğba A., who provided testimony as part of the investigation, stated that she works in real estate, met Ahmet Baran Yazgan 3-4 years ago, and that they parted ways normally after a relationship that lasted approximately 6 months. Stating that there was no hostility between them, A. recounted that the incident occurred on the evening of August 12 following a birthday celebration.
According to Tuğba A.'s testimony, she met with her daughter D.L. and her friends B. and N. at a restaurant that evening. Around 11:00 PM, B.'s boyfriend, Nuh D., also joined the group. Stating that they encountered Yazgan as they were leaving the restaurant, A. explained that after returning home, she sent her location to Yazgan, and that Yazgan came to the house and sat with them on the balcony.
Tuğba A. alleged that after Yazgan came out of the bathroom, he asked her for a towel, and that she encountered disturbing behavior when she entered the bathroom to hand him the towel.
“As I was trying to hand him the towel, he grabbed my waist and pulled me toward him. He tried to kiss me on the lips. While I was trying to resist, he kissed me on the lips for a short time. I immediately left the bathroom. I told my friends that I was uncomfortable with Yazgan's behavior and went to the bedroom to put my daughter to sleep.”
A. claimed that when she returned to the kitchen after putting her daughter to sleep, Yazgan was drinking alcohol, and that a dispute subsequently broke out between Yazgan and Nuh D. In her testimony, A. alleged that Yazgan directed severe insults and profanities at D., and recounted that a glass table was broken and some glasses were also damaged.
Stating that she asked Yazgan to leave her home as the argument escalated, Tuğba A. alleged that she was also assaulted and insulted. A. stated that she began recording with her phone during this time.
Defending that she did not take the recording to share it on social media, Tuğba A. said, "My purpose was not to share the footage on social media, but to protect my daughter and myself because he is a deputy."
