CHP member Tanju Özcan spoke about the comprehensive investigations launched against him by the Ministry of Interior after he was expelled from his party. Özcan said, "Last term, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu expelled me from the party. During this process, many complaints were filed against me, and the Ministry of Interior examined all my tenders, work, and transactions for four months."

Özcan stated that authorization was granted for investigations into 171 different matters. Expressing that some individuals from Ankara offered him to join the AKP during this process, Özcan said, "I have no doubts about my integrity; I said, 'I'm not interested.'" Stating that he was cleared of all accusations and returned to the party with the new CHP administration, Özcan said that he won the election in which he was a candidate again by leaving the AKP and MHP candidates behind.

Özcan emphasized that he faced difficulties during this process but did not give up on the struggle. He made a jab at Özlem Çerçioğlu, who was expected to transfer to the AKP, by saying, "I didn't run away when I saw the difficulty, unlike those who were once nicknamed the 'Heel-Wearing Efe' (Topuklu Efe)."
