Resignations continue unabated in the İYİ Party, which decided to enter the local elections as 'free and independent'.
Most recently, in Eskişehir, İYİ Party Han District Chair Fevzi Akpınar and provincial executive Hakan Orhan resigned from the İYİ Party. AKP Provincial Chair Süleyman Reyhan pinned the party badges on the two individuals who joined the AKP. Fevzi Akpınar and Hakan Orhan were accompanied by Nebi Hatipoğlu, who also resigned from the İYİ Party to join the AKP and is the AKP's candidate for Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality.
"I HAVE NO ILL WILL TOWARD ANYONE"
Fevzi Akpınar, who resigned from the İYİ Party to join the AKP, stated, "I have no anger or resentment toward anyone in the İYİ Party. I chose the AK Party simply because I believe in and trust Mr. Nebi, because I know he will provide good service to Eskişehir, and in order to receive better services for the Han district; I believed that better politics would take place here. I would especially like to state that I offer my respects and regards to everyone, primarily İYİ Party Eskişehir Provincial Chair Serdar Ulucan, Emine Edizgil, all district chairs, and all İYİ Party members, and I wish them success. I grant them my blessing and I ask for theirs in return."
