TKP's decision on Istanbul: We will not support İmamoğlu
TKP General Secretary Kemal Okuyan shared the party's decision regarding the local elections with the press. Okuyan also announced the TKP's candidate for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

The TKP announced its election decision at a press conference it held.
The TKP will field mayoral candidates in 28 metropolitan municipalities, as well as in 55 provinces and districts.
Okuyan announced that they would support the Left Party's candidate in Artvin Kemalpaşa and the TİP's candidate in Hatay Samandağ.
Okuyan also announced their decision regarding Istanbul, the city whose outcome is most anticipated by the public.
Stating that they will not support İmamoğlu in Istanbul, Okuyan announced that they have nominated journalist Orhan Gökdemir for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

"Getting Rid of the 'Zübüks'
The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) is participating in the March 31 local government elections nationwide. In Istanbul, it is also taking its place on the ballots for all district municipal council memberships and the Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidacy. Istanbul does not have to choose between different shades of lies. The TKP is calling for getting rid of as many 'zübüks' (opportunistic politicians) as possible in the local elections.
