Turgut Altınok had claimed 73 percent, but came in 33 points lower: 'Yavaş' leads the race in Ankara

According to the results, CHP's Ankara Metropolitan Mayor and candidate for the new term, Mansur Yavaş, is 2.8 points ahead of AKP's Keçiören Mayor and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality candidate Turgut Altınok.

In the survey, CHP's Ankara Metropolitan Mayor and candidate for the new term, Mansur Yavaş, received 43.7 percent of the vote, while AKP's Keçiören Mayor and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality candidate Turgut Altınok remained at 40.9 percent. The percentage of those who said they would vote for İYİ Party's Cengiz Topel Yıldırım was 5.2 percent. The percentage of citizens who said they would vote for other candidates was 3.2 percent, while the percentage of undecided voters was 7.0 percent.

THE 73 PERCENT CLAIM

AKP's Ankara Metropolitan Municipality candidate Altınok had stated in recent days: "If we reach out, no matter which party they vote for, we can get 73 percent of the vote in Ankara; we have such potential. The candidate is not Altınok, the candidate is all of us. We will be servants. We will not let you down. Those who do not vote for us will say 'I wish we had'," he had said.
